Trespasser

Inspired by Richard Brooks 1967 film "In Cold Blood," Trespasser is a short black and white cinematography film I directed and shot to practice lighting for darkness. My goal was to make the film look like it was only lit by streetlights, moonlight, and a flashlight. I paid special attention to contrast ratios and making sure enough detail was in the camera negative to avoid any unintentional loss of detail in the shadows. Additionally, I created a custom credits sequence inspired by Saul Bass.
